The Eighth of September

And so ends my first not quite full week of work as a paraprofessional in training.  I made it through, apparently not everyone does.  It bothers me when I think about how many people seem to start a job (any job) and quit within the first few days with no notice.  It is a big problem with my retail job and I had heard it was a problem everywhere.  It still surprises me when people just leave when there are children or patients involved.  Whatever happened to giving 2 weeks notice?

End Rant.

There are particular students that are going to try my patience.  I have been told that my patience is strong.  May it remain so.  In Social Studies today the teacher brought up the middle ages and how the governments were so different back then compared to now.  When she finished she asked me if I had anything to add, and I did.  I surprised myself by speaking up with something I know a little about.  Playing at medieval things sometimes I learn about it too.  The books I have read and people I hang out with help this learning.

My daughter is away at an SCA event this weekend.  Gideon and his father have strep throat.  So Gideon is not bunking with me.  It would be bad for me to get sick now.  They are both on antibiotics so watching Gideon tomorrow while his dad goes to work shouldn't be a problem.  Really glad I bought vitamin C last week though.  Also glad I can sleep in!

Mostly I worked today, both jobs.  Just before sunset I took some pictures.  The weather has been off and on rain and sun.  All these pictures were taken standing in pretty much the same spot and turning around.  Gorgeous sky!!

This last picture is zoom.  It looked as if the cloud formation toward the top half of the picture is raining on the lower half and I was trying to capture that.
