9-nine, Saturday

Gideon and I adventured some today.  We went to the local Farmer's Market where we picked up some sweet snacks and ate them at the base of John Hale.  We wandered around a bit looking for pretend treasure and then to the store to buy trash bags.  I wrote a poem to go with the walk:

The garage to park it
For the Farmer's Market
Veggies & yummy treats
Down busy city streets
People smiling, tail wags
Grocery store for bags
Pretend treasure to quest
And then back home to rest

Most likely it only means anything to Gideon and I, and that is okay.  Many people had their dogs out today walking around.  Some gorgeous pups in this town!  We walked by a pet rescue van with a dog in it... I really hope that it was just waiting to be picked up by a new family.  The weather was just lovely today, I am so glad we got out to experience it.

My son shared a link to Canada's Great Trail with me.  Almost 15,000 miles meant to be walked, biked, kayaked, hiked, etc on.  It looks beautiful, maybe someday I will get to see some of it.  That trail would require a bit more commitment than the AT, almost 3 years worth at 15 miles a day.

A pumpkin whoopie pie is what I had for my sweet treat today and is today's happy.  It tasted really good and hit the spot while we were out today.  Gideon had a chocolate cupcake-there is evidence in the picture on his face.  😄
