August 5th - Pennsic day 4- short -- edited with pictures
This evening many people in my immediate campsite processed to Opening Ceremonies. Well, many people from all over the event did. It was beautiful to see all the baners blow and so many people with all the different types of garb. I took pictures to post later.
There are over 9000 people that have come through the gate at Pennsic so far this year. I like to believe that most of them are nice people. This morning one of them asked me to tie his sleeve up on his garb. Someone that I don't think I have ever met before. I did, pleasantries were passed, and we each moved on. I know that things like this happen all the time, I feel it happens more at Pennsic. That there are more people doing silly small things for strangers than in your average small town. People helping people is today's happy.
Today I went to a class about the history of the pilgrimage in Spain, the Camino de Santiago. Maybe someday I will get there.
Tomorrow my daughter and son in law arrive. Tonight I am exhausted and must sleep.
