This morning I had a few HOURS symptom free. There was virtually no tingling in my fingers. I did laundry, I did some dishes, and I got ready for my appointment with the occupational therapist. She wanted me to determine how long I could drive with my right hand so I got onto the highway, looked at the time and drove with my hands at about 10 and 2. About 4 minutes later my arm was feeling warm and I decided to stretch it a little and give it a break. Then the thumb started tingling again. Nerves are weird things. It is all so much better than it was when this all started. When it all started there was numbness, tingling was better. The nerves used to shoot along the wrist and that would hurt and the thumb and pinkie tingled much stronger. The OT says the nerves are angry when that happens. Now that shooting is much less often and much less intense, more like a hard toss or just a bit mad.
After the OT visit I went for a walk in the drizzle. Seeing the chiropractor was the next thing on my list but I had almost an hour to spare before the appointment. I walked along what used to be railroad tracks and is now a paved walk/bike path. I got in 3 miles before my appointment.
Trailer for a Camino de Santiago documentary.
Today's
happy is my walk. I need to get out there more, it felt so good. I have missed trees walking in the city.
This flower looked a little out of place along the path.
It is how paper (the tree) breaks rock.
This little guy decided to pose for the camera.
Up.
