My daughter was watching 1776 when I came downstairs this morning. Here is a snippet from that
movie. This might be the whole thing but it isn't the best picture quality.
Well, I worked all day. The drive home was a scattering of fireworks being set off. When I got back I went for a walk to get my step count in.
Gideon didn't want to go with me so I went alone. As I left the house, there were random fireworks being set off. It was a bit loud. The booms, bangs and whistles gradually spaced out more and became less and less as it got later. By the time I was on the roof of the second parking garage they had mostly stopped. I had been hoping for a nice view from up there but the only ones I could see were really far away or tiny backyard ones. I am very curious what the laws are for setting off fireworks in the city are. When I got home I was told that the last words Gideon said were something like "I hope Grammy is home soon."
This is how he was when I got back-
Fast asleep. The way he is holding on to his foot, it looks like he has holes in his sock toes. Sleep is what I need as well. I keep fading away.
I put in a full day for work and was not able to go to a friend's house because of it. I did finish everything I had to and that is my happy for today. Tomorrow I have 2 quick jobs and then back to packing, or maybe the other way around.
Sky as the sun was getting low.
15 seconds with light in the distance.
