My kids came over today and more stuff got sent to Goodwill or thrown away. My daughter has been telling me for years how I will feel so much better when I have less stuff weighing me down. I knew she was right, but was in too much of a funk to do much about it. Even with so little done though, I am feeling better already. The Hike is starting to look more like a possibility. Now if work would be more predictable I could plan things better.
Today my happy is memories. While going through stuff brought back memories, I am still glad the things are gone. We looked at stuff and got rid of most of it. There are things I was saving from grade school. There were a few dresses that I will most likely never fit in again that are gone. A T-shirt from a Who concert in 1989 and one from Rush's Hold Your Fire tour. My son said the lady at Goodwill was surprised at the quantity of clothes we were getting rid of. No question, I keep too much stuff. This is changing now and that makes me happy. Unfortunately my daughter took the pictures of the stuff so I don't have them handy.
Sun setting.
Beautiful sky.
