The 9th of November Day 314

This is the 314th post this year.  This year where I had hoped to hike the Appalachian Trail.  So many things have happened.  It has been a year with many changes.  Now is not the time for me to reflect on them all though, that can happen next month. 

In Science class the students are studying osmosis.  Yesterday in class they left an egg in vinegar ti soak.  The vinegar dissolved the shell and left a fragile membrane covered egg.  They then could choose to soak that into either corn syrup, water or salt water.  A few kids accidentally broke the egg and are using the vinegar again with a new egg.  It is a 3 day weekend so everything will have plenty of time to do what it needs to do.  Watching the students reactions when handling the egg-the awe or gross factor-is my happy for today.  Here is a website that has a little bit of information about the experiment. 

Exhausted, I have fallen asleep so many times writing this that it has taken me over 2 hours to write very little.  I am still not feeling too well but my back is much improved from yesterday.
