Eleventh month, seventh day! Gideon has a loose tooth!

Gideon let me record him wiggling his tooth:

In his Kindergarten class they have a tooth chart for students with loose teeth.  He is very excited about this.

At my school job today it was a professional development day.  No students, just classes.  One of them reminded me of what I wrote last night.  I referred to my brain as webs where all the ideas of the day get stuck and I am too tired to get them out by the time I write the Blog.  In class today the instructor also compared the brain to a web.  The strands in a web and the connections they make stand for the information we collect.  The more information and connections between the information (better web) the better the background information a person is able to draw upon.  This results in it being easier to access that knowledge as well as make some of the comparisons for learning.  Too bad when I am tired what I get is the fly and the info stays trapped!  Haha!  I am writing earlier tonight.

The last few days I have been fighting a cold/cough.  I forgot to take medication with me to work, other than cough drops, to help relieve the symptoms.  I tried to keep sitting just a little distance from people to not infect them.  We kept getting collaborative work to do so I worry that not only did I infect people but they thought I was trying to avoid them all and be unsocial.

Some happy things for today:

  • My daughter is becoming a pretty awesome artist.
  • I registered to vote and voted today in our local electons
  • There is still some foliage out there.
  • Gideon has a loose tooth!
  • I took some notes for the Nano story that I hope to write.
  • Sleep will be soon.
  • Gideon, dancing around the room knocks something over on his foot.  His mom inquires if he is okay... "Well, my foot has seen better days."
  • Gideon at 5 and a half comes reads a word he doesn't understand, "What does 'literacy' mean?"
