November 13th--Short

Today was the first snow of the season.  Not too much, just enough to say hi and let us know that winter is on the way.  Mostly there was a rain-snow mix, but there was a layer on the ground for a bit.  I haven't looked outside recently, but the sounds I am hearing of water falling from the sky and draining off the roof make me think that the snow could very well be mostly gone. 

This afternoon at school there was a meeting of students to form a gaming club.  For the next 5 Mondays I will be staying late to help out.  At this time it is a volunteer thing, it is unlikely that I will be paid for it, but it could happen.  The group seems to be centered around D & D-which I haven't played in years and not very much.  There will also be other board games available for students to play.  I am looking forward to being able to participate, even if only as an adult in the room.  Games are my happy for today.
